Rudolph Albert "Rudy" Calicdan Sr., 73, of Pahoa, Hawaii, an employee of the former Hawaiian Sugar Planters Association and a Navy veteran, died at home. He was born on Oahu. He is survived by sons Rudy Jr., Zachary and Jarrett; daughters Tonya Baybayan and Tina and Stephanie Calicdan; brothers Segundo Jr., John and George; sisters Mary Jane Peleholani and Lilian Soares; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation: 6 p.m. Sept. 30 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel, Hilo. Celebration of life: 7 p.m. Additional visitation: 9 a.m. Oct. 1 at the mortuary. Celebration of life: 10 a.m. Motorcycle procession with burial to follow at Alae Cemetery. Casual attire.
