Robert Allen Victorine
ROBERT ALLEN VICTORINE Born in Olaa, Hawaii on January 12, 1937, passed away peacefully at the age of 79. Survived by wife Shirley E. Victorine, son Robert A. Victorine Jr. & wife Minhee Victorine, grandson Sheldon J. Victorine & Wife Karen Victorine, great grandson Kainoa B. Victorine, sister Geri Figueroa & husband Jimmy Figueroa, and brother Elroy Victorine. 27-year Retired U.S. Army Command Sergeant Major of the 1st BN 5th Infantry Regiment 25th ID, Class of 1966 Cu Chi, Vietnam & Korean war. Served five years as the 1st SGT of Kilauea Military Camp, he would earn the Soldiers Medal for rescuing a fallen civilian out of the volcanic steam vent. In the middle of his Army career, Robert served two years as the Army ROTC instructor for North Dakota State University. After his service he worked for the Department of Education as the Senior Army JROTC instructor for the McKinley Tigers- 1990 Pacific Champions, 1990 National High School Drill Team Champions (3rd place). In his free time Robert loved to golf, and enjoyed the companionship of family & friends. A fighter until the end, he will be missed. First day service on November 21, 2016 at Borthwick Mortuary, Mauka Chapel. Visitation 4:30PM; service 5:30PM. Second day service on November 22, 2016 at St. Elizabeth's Church.
