He was employed as a airport construction and maintenance superintendent V for State of Hawaii and a member of Eagle Golf Club. He is survived by wife, Esther C. Velasco, sons, Dexter C. Velasco, Joseph C. Velasco; daughters, Kathrina C. Velasco, Belleben Joy Bulosan; mother, Ester M. Velasco; brothers, Feliberto (Minda) Velasco, Jr., Augusto (Julie) Velasco; sisters, Fe Edita Velasco, Concepcion (Heiko) Plenge, Dolores (James) Garrison; 1 granddaughter. Visitation 6:00-9:00p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 7) at the Mililani Mortuary Makai Chapel; prayer service 6:30 p.m. Visitation also 9:30 a.m. Thursday (Dec. 8) at St. Philomena Catholic Church (3300 Ala Laulani St., Honolulu); mass 11:00 a.m. Burial to follow 12:30 p.m. Mililani Memorial Park.
