L. “PATRICK” KIRLEY
L. Patrick Kirley, 82, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on October 31, 2016, in Honolulu. He was born on November 5, 1933, in Calgary, Canada, and moved with his family to Honolulu in 1970. He held several senior executive positions in Honolulu, including Senior Vice President of Queen's Hospital and President of Blackfield Hawaii Corporation, before starting his own car rental company, Tradewinds U-Drive, Inc., in 1983. The company was sold in 2006. He is survived by his wife, Eileen "Joan" Kirley, daughter Dana Marie Newberry (Tim), son Daniel Patrick Kirley (Kathryn), sister Maureen Caron, brother Phil Kirley (Patricia), grand- daughter Kristen Elizabeth Newberry, as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He is pre- deceased by his son, Jeffrey Patrick Kirley. Pat was a noble, kind and generous man. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends. He left this earthly life in peace. Services will be held on December 16, 2016, beginning at 6:00 p.m., at the Newman Center - Holy Spirit Parish at the University of Hawai'i Manoa Campus. Parking is available at St. Francis School, entrance at 2707 Pamoa Road. A reception will follow.
