Irene T. Freitas of Kaimuki, Hawaii passed away at the age of 107 on November 25, 2016. Born on June 18, 1909, she led an amazing life that she lovingly shared with family and friends. Many people have enjoyed her famous cookies and cakes that she would bake with expertise, and when you'd walk into her home you would always delight in the delicious aromas of cookies baking. Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Charles P. Freitas Sr. She is survived by Allan (Joan) Freitas, Carol Barretto, Verne Freitas and Frank Barretto. Grandchildren: Carrie, Chris, Damien, Stephen, Shandry, Chuck, Dorion, Lono, Carlos and Andre and 16 great grandchildren. Service will be held at St. Patricks Church in Kaimuki on December 21, 2016. Visitation is at 9:30 a.m., service at 10:45 a.m. with burial to follow at Diamond Head Cemetery.
