Of Honolulu, Hawaii passed away at the age of 92 on December 8, 2016. Born on June 16, 1924 in Ashcroft, British Colombia, Canada. He was a Professor of Music at the University of Hawaii and a composer. He is preceded in death by his father, Roderick John McKay, his mother Margaret Jean McCrimmon McKay and his brother John McKay. He is survived by his wife Marion, son Ian McKay, daughter Nancy (Randy) Hee, granddaughter Puanani Hee and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
