Gary Leroy Johnson, 78, passed away December 16, 2016 in the Philippines. He was born on October 18, 1938 in Silverton, Oregon to George and Dena Johnson. Gary served his country as a Navy sailor for 19 years. In his retirement, Gary was actively involved in many organizations such as Veterans of Foreign Wars, Odd Fellows and American Legion. His kindness, generosity and sense of humor made a lasting impression on those who knew and loved him. He will be sorely missed. Gary is survived by his wife, Anita; family, Anna, Jimmy, and Lee; and brother, Dan (Louise), in addition to his nephews, nieces, and his step-children and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Evangeline, his sister Delores, and his twin brother, George. We will celebrate and honor his life on Friday, January 20, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church in Kaneohe, Hawaii followed by a private inurnment at Kaneohe Veteran's Cemetery.
