DONALD BERTRAM AH CHONG, SR. Donald Bertram Ah Chong, Sr., 72, of Keaau died Dec. 17 at the Hospice of Hilo Pohai Malama Facility. Born in Honolulu, he was a retired electrician and Nuclear General Forman for Shop 51 at the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard on Oahu, a retired electrician from Hilo Hawaiian Hotel, a member of Na Ali'i Golf Club, Banyan Bay Golf Club, and a veteran of the U.S. Army's "Big Red One 1st Infantry Division." Visitation from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Saturday (January 21, 2017) at the Bernice Pauahi Bishop Memorial Chapel at Kamehameha Schools Kapalama on Oahu; a celebration of his life will begin at 3:30. Casual attire. Family requests no flowers.
