Bernice M Lewis joined her husband Joseph G Lewis Jr. (27 Sept 1993) and daughter AnneMarie (7 Dec 2010) in Heaven on Jan. 15, 2017 peacefully surrounded by her family. Born 8 Sept 1923 in Honolulu, Bernice lived a full life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, Aunty, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was married to the love of her life on Sept 10,1949 until his untimely death. Survived by her brother Eddie Alameida (Maria), sister Margie Gallues, sisters in law Geraldine DeLima, Lorraine Alameida, and Sylvia Lewis, six children, Joseph G. (Nanette), David C., Patricia Norton, Stephen A (Kathy), Mark E., and Michael D. with whom she resided. She is also survived by 13 grand- children and 17 great grand- children, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was known by many names throughout her life but hearing Granny or Grammy always put a smile on her face. Till we meet again, Aloha. Services will be on 27 Jan 2017, viewing at 10:30 am with mass to follow at 11 am at St. Anthony's church in Kailua. Burial to follow at 1 pm at Hawaii State Veteran's Cemetary 45-349 Kam Highway, Kaneohe.
