Born February 24, 1935, died on January 4, 2017 surrounded by family and friends. From a very young age, Lily encountered many health problems. However, her strong belief, trust, and love for her Lord Jesus Christ enabled her to overcome these issues with a positive attitude, inspiring many people. Her loving nature, smile, and soft spoken ways always reflected Christian character. Lily fought her final battle courageously until she was lifted up by the hands of her Maker. She passed with a relaxed and peaceful expression upon her face. Lily, may you have a complete and restful sleep. Preceded in death by daughter, Sue A. Yoshida, she is survived by husband, Kazuo Shimabukuro; daughter, Lynn Yoshioka; sister, Linda Kimura; brothers, Clarence and Charles Matsuda; sons-in- law, Gregg Yoshioka and Scott Yoshida; grandchildren, Megan and Jacob Yoshioka and Micah Yoshida, and many nieces and nephews.
