Age 76, of Honolulu, passed away Jan. 9, 2017, in Honolulu. Her only child, Vincent Fernandez, preceded her in death, 2006. She is survived by her husband, Shinye, and the Gima "ohana"; her cousins Antoinette Jardine of California; Franklin Ornellas of Connecticut; the Freitas "ohana" of Honolulu (Bernadette, Antoinette and Bernard, Jr.); Eugene Silva of Hilo and William Nohoanu of Honolulu, and other relatives. She earned a degree in cosmetology in California, and worked many years at Tom's Hair Salon in Honolulu. After retiring, she was certified by PATCH and provided child care services for several years. Services at Diamond Head Mortuary, Honolulu, Feb. 9, 2017. Visitation: 4:00PM, Service 5:00PM.
