Angelita Teresita (Talan) Pamplona
81, of Pearl City, died at home on January 19, 2017. She was born in Kahuku on November 28, 1935 and lived on the Big Island, Waiahole, and Kaneohe. She graduated from Castle High in 1953, fell in love with and married Jose (Joe) Pamplona in 1954, lived in Honolulu, Kaneohe, Waianae and lastly in Pearl City in 1967, raised seven children, and attended Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. Preceded in death by her son Vincent and husband Joseph, she is survived by daughters: Jo Ann, Tessie (Lester Kalawa), Sonia (Ernesto Baculanta), Kathy Pamplona-Rita, and sons: Richard (Natalya Lee) and Thomas, and daughter-in-law Lucia Pamplona (Salas), brother Ruperto Talan and sister Mildred Hill, 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Express our sincere gratitude to St. Francis Hospice for all the support to our mom and family. Funeral Mass was held on January 26, 2017. Burial will be held on Monday, February 6, 2017, 1:00 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery Committal Shelter in Kaneohe.
