Meliton Bagoyo Batad, Sr., 92 of Pauoa Valley in Honolulu, Hawaii passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his beloved family and friends on January 20, 2017. He was born in Sacuyya Norte, Santa, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. He was a retired bartender from Host International/ Marriott Corporation, owner of Transmission Exchange and a founding father of the Santanians Society of Hawaii. (Preceded in death by wife, Juana Busto Batad, of 58 years) He is survived by Daughters, Shirley (Randal) Batad-Labisores and Marilyn (Gilbert) Canas; Sons, Meliton B. (Peggy) Batad, Jr. and Dwayne (Shauna) Batad; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; Companion, Priscilla Dela Cruz; Brother, Francisco Wilfredo Batad; Sister, Irene Batad Burgos; Hanai-daughters, Lorrianne M. Mesina and Maria Antonette "Toni" Mesina and Hanai-son, Marcus V. Mesina; Cousins, Nieces and Nephews. Two-day Services: Friday, February 24, 2107 at Ballard's Family Moanalua Mortuary-Chapel. Visitation: 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. Wake Services & Eulogy: 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Blessed Sacrament Church 2124 Pauoa Road, Honolulu, HI. Visitation: 9:00 a.m., Funeral Mass: 11:00 a.m., Burial to follow at Valley of the Temples Memorial Park, Kaneohe, HI at 2:00 p.m. Casual/ Aloha Attire. Flowers Welcomed.
