FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

Mook-lan Mui Fan
Mook-lan Mui Fan94, of Honolulu passed away on Feb 13, 2017. Born May 8, 1922 in Chicago, she lived in Florida, Washington, Texas, China and Cuba as a child and spent most of her adult life in the NY area. She received her BA from Pomona College and her MSW from UC Berkeley. She worked with an adoption agency finding families for children, and later for Lighthouse International in Westchester supporting the blind. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Chung Teh Fan, and returned to Honolulu in 1985. She is survived by her brother, Thomas L. Mui (Lois Thom) of Honolulu, and daughters Ada (Peter Warsaw) and Linda (Will Schaefer), and five grandchildren Arianna Rauch (Stephan), Ralph Schaefer, Marina Warsaw-Fan, Fred Schaefer and George Schaefer. A memorial service will be held at Arcadia, 1434 Punahou Street, on Friday, Feb 17 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arcadia Employees Holiday Fund or Hawaii Public Radio/Public Television.
