Dana Rae Park
1948 - 2016 Dana Rae Park was born on November 3, 1948, in Honolulu, Hawaii and unexpectedly passed away, in Kelseyville, California on December 6, 2016, of natural causes. Dana lived and worked in Honolulu for most of his life, becoming renowned for his activism in protest of the Vietnam war. Dana is survived by one sister, Dicksie Park Tamanaha of Santa Rosa, California, one brother, Linton L. Park, of Tracy, California and five nieces and nephews, including John Tamanaha, Iolani School Director of Interactive Media, Honolulu. Everyone who knew Dana or heard him sing is invited to an "Our Back Porch" Open Mic Celebration of his Life at the Atherton YMCA Coffeeline on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from 1:30 to 4:00 p.m. to share musical tributes and memories by performing in his honor.
