Harold Solomon Pabre, Sr.
Age 79, of Honolulu and formerly of Kona, Hawaii, passed away on January 27, 2017. He was born in Makawao, Maui. Survived by his wife of 58 years, Katherine Pabre of Honolulu. Five sons, James (Ashana) Kawainui, of Phoenix, Arizona, Dino (Lisa) Pabre of Kekaha, Kauai, Harold (Kai) Pabre, Jr. and Philip Alika Pabre of Honolulu, Wade (Mapuana) Pabre of Kealakekua, hanai son Manual Florino of Honaunau. Three daughters, Lynnette Cookie Pabre of Captain Cook, Laurie (Gabby) DeCasa of Kailua-Kona and Lisa Pabre of Honolulu. Brothers, Geno (Fel) Pabre of Kealakekua, Rudy Pabre of Kailua-Kona and Fortunato (Moana) Pabre of Hilo. 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews and Aunt. He was an avid shoreline fisherman and retired cement mason with the Masons and Plasterers' Union Local 630. Services in Honolulu will be held at Moanalua Valley District Park Saturday, March 11, 2017. Visitation from 9a-11a, services at 11a with lunch to follow. Services in Kona will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Honaunau Rodeo Arena. Visitation 830a-1030a, service at 1030a with lunch to follow. Flowers are welcomed. Scattering of ashes will be on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Keei Beach.
