82, of Puko'o Moloka'i. Passed peacefully on March 7 at home surrounded by family. Born Jan. 27, 1935 Kamalo, Moloka'i. He is survived by his wife Jeanette; daughters Zelie Duvauchelle (Lucia), Shona Mae Pineda (Eduardo), Daryl Lynn Tavares (Jeff); sons Clinton and Curtis Akiona; brothers Gordon & Lawrence Akiona; sisters Verna Sorensen, Barbara Ballao (George); 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Services 8:30am Sat. March 18 at Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Church Kalua'aha Moloka'i. Burial to follow at Saint Joseph Church Kamalo.
