SAMUEL MARK CASTANERA, SKIP 78, of Mapulehu, Molokai, passed away, on Oahu, Sunday, February 5th, 2017. He was born June 6th, 1938, in Massachusetts. While stationed on Oahu, as a Marine, he met and married his beloved wife, Pauline. Upon discharge he and Pauline relocated to Molokai. He retired after 25 years of service as a Captain for the Molokai Fire Department. Skip is survived by his wife, Pauline, of 56 years, son Shayne, daughters Sonya, Joy and Samantha, 7 loving grand- children, brother David, sister Sharon and step father-in-law Stephen. He loved spending time with his family and enjoyed telling stories to his grandchildren. He will be missed by his family who are grateful for all his hard work, loyalty and devotion.
