97, of Kaneohe passed away on March 9, 2017 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on July 23, 1919 in Vernalis, California. She worked for the University of Hawaii, Extension Service and was a dietitian with Castle Medical Center. She is survived by daughters, Carol (Glenn Feiteira) Sakai- Feiteira and Patti (Leon) Laba; 5 grandchildren; 1 great grand- child; and caretakers Diem Le and Peggy Makaina. She is predeceased by husband, Edward Sakai and daughter, Lyn Lani. Visitation: 10 a.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at Hosoi Mortuary.
