Bonnie Pauahi Stevens
73, died at home in Honolulu on October 13, 2016, of breast cancer. A graduate of University High School in Honolulu and the Univ. of Colorado at Boulder, she returned to Hawaii in 2007 after nearly three decades on the staff of the City of San Francisco's Hetch Hetchy water project near Groveland, California. She was a passionate genealogist, and served as Historian for the Daughters of Hawaii. Survived by son, James Piilani Lamont, of Manteca, CA; daughter, Christina Kemp of Seattle, WA; hanai daughter, Nancy Reynolds of Palo Alto, CA; brother, Ian Lind, and sister, Jacquelyn Chappel, both of Honolulu; and seven grandchildren. Memorial service at 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 28, Emmalani Hale at the Queen Emma Summer Palace, 2913 Pali Highway. Limited valet parking, car-pooling encouraged.
