63, of Kaneohe, Hawaii peacefully passed away at home on the morning of March 16. He was born Feb. 14, 1954 on Guam. At age 14, Mark was a rancher; then in 1972 trained as a master baker at Crown Bakery, Guam, with international master baker Albert Malinowski. He later opened Crown's sister bakery in Medford, Oregon and was the last baker-owner of Ken's Bakery, Waimanalo, Hawaii. Mark was a gifted propagator of orchids, anthuriums, cacao and coffee; a member of Windward Orchid Society and Unified Mark is survived by his mother, Rose Chun Swegler; sisters; Delle "Dee" Swegler (Mark) Nadler and Moana Swegler (Alvin) Luka; uncle, Franklin S.H. (Norma) Chun; aunt, Angie Seegler; numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his father, Delbert L. Swegler; sister Haulani and brothers Morton, Marshall, Morris Leal and Jon Lorin Chun. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:30am, April 4 at Oahu Cemetery Chapel, 2162 Nuuanu Ave., Honolulu.
