FAMILY PLACED OBITUARY

TIMOTHY PAUL OJILE
Timothy Paul Ojile was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on June 29, 1948, to Geraldine and Frederick Ojile, Sr., and passed away peacefully at home in St Paul on January 31st, 2017. He is survived by his partner, Darius Homayounpour, as well as his siblings and their spouses, Therese and James Marx, Michael and Linda Ojile, William and Mary Ojile, Frederick and Fay Ojile, and Bernadette and Ronald Seliski. A well known and respected artist, Ojile attended Catholic schools in Minnesota, and then graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in East Asian Art History. In 1972, he moved to New York City where he lived and worked for ten years. He then moved to Honolulu where he developed his career as an artist, and was a beloved teacher of painting and drawing for 30 years at the Honolulu Academy of Arts. He traveled widely, and was a voracious consumer of culture as well as a dedicated birdwatcher. Memorial donations may be made to Hawaii Opera Theater or The Nature Conservancy in Timothy's name. Services will be private.
