82, passed away at her home in Kailua, Hawaii, on March 28, 2017. Betty was born in Florence, South Carolina, on August 4, 1934, to Hallie Barnes and Jacqueline Revell Barnes. She was a registered nurse and retired after 20 years as head nurse at Pohai Nani Retirement Hospital. Betty's parents, her husband, Joseph Makaena Taitano, and her brother, Rodney, predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Keolani, sister, Diane Pratt, nephews Corky and Chad Pratt, and nieces, Skylar and Sadie Pratt. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Date and time for a celebration of life service to be announced by June.
