Gregory “Gregg” Akamuhou Dias
January 3, 1949 - April 11, 2017 Gregg grew up in Honolulu with his parents, William Akamuhou Dias and Gloria Ann Rhodes. Graduated from Kalani High School in 1967, he attended Leeward Community College and later, the Lutheran Bible Institute of Seattle. Gregg worked for Boeing for the last 25 years. He also enjoyed working as Assistant Head Usher at McCaw Hall in Seattle. In 2012 his passion for vintage Hawaiian music led him to become a DJ known as Pineapple Sam, hosting a popular radio show on KSER, "Da Coconut Wireless". He is dearly missed by all, and especially by his son, David and wife Marella Dias, his two grandchildren, Netanyah and Kaneyah, his daughter, Emily Dias, his brothers Richard and Barton Dias, and by his partner, Micki Suzuki and her son Sage. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 27, at 2:00 pm at the Center for Spiritual Living, 5801 Sand Point Way, Seattle, WA 98105. Inquiries: Michirusuz@msn.com.
