Martial Self Keliiaumoana Kaanoi
Born on July 23, 1942, to Louis Theodore Keliikahi, Sr. and Elizabeth Mary Kwaifa Taum Kaanoi. He grew up in Kalihi Valley and raised his family in Kuliouou. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran and a retired United Airlines flight attendant of 28 years. He passed peacefully on April 17, 2017, at age 74. He is survived by wife, Genevieve; sons, Akoni, Kalei (Aulani) and Keliikahi; daughters, Maile (Leif) Sjostrand, and Momi (Neal Palafox) Kaanoi; grandchildren Kealia, Meleani, Keahi, Lawakua, Laikukawaa, Lulukaokeawa, Luakalailani, Keliiaumoana, Kalanikapu, Kiinalehua, Kamanui, Kauikoakoa; sisters Catherine (Jerry) Henson, and Yvonne Kauwila (Luther) Niheu. Predeceased by his parents, grandson Malu; brothers Louis Jr., Wendall and Rodney Kaanoi; sister Brenda Moniz. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 19, 2017, at Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary. Visitation from 9:30-11:00 a.m. Prayer service at 11:00 a.m. with committal services and burial to follow at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. Arrangements Provided By: Hawaiian Memorial Park Mortuary
