Katherine Keiko Fujiyama Morikami, 87, passed away on May 3, 2017. Katherine was born in Honolulu to George and Cornelia Fujiyama, the third of four children. Katherine followed older brothers Wally and Stanley, and preceded younger sister Jayne. She graduated from Kaimuki High School and the University of Hawaii where she obtained a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She worked alongside and later succeeded her father as a public accountant at Fujiyama Public Accountants, Inc., and then went on to become the President and General Manager of Leeward Funeral Home for the past 34 years. She is survived by sons, Alvin Morikami, and David Morikami; daughter, Amy Morikami; and nephews, nieces, and cousins. Memorial Services will be held at Nuuanu Memorial Park & Mortuary, East Chapel on Sunday, May 21, 2017.
