Age 91, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2017, he was born on Oahu, June 21, 1925, and raised in Kokoiki Kohala, Hawaii. Retired from Hawaiian Dredging & Construction as a crane operator. William was predeceased by his wife, Elaine Kauiopuna and son Kit David Kalama. He is survived by his sons, William Luka (Sista) Jr. and Anela (Cheryl), daughters, Elaine (Wendell) Freitas, Merrille (Joseph) Kalahiki Jr., Loriemle (Gustave) Malterre, 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren, sister Jane Stevens of Kokoiki, and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea Chapel, visitation at 9:00-10:00am, services 10:00- 11:00am. Burial to follow at 1:00pm at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetary.
