63, of Waimanalo, Hawaii, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 2, 2017, in the presence of family and loved ones. Michael worked at O'Toole's Irish Pub in Honolulu. Born in Providence, R.I. on December 20, 1953, he was the second son of William C. Hilson and Theresa F. (O'Connell) Hilson, and stepson of Constance Mancini. He is survived by brother William Hilson, Jr., sisters Nancy Hilson and Theresa Blessington, step- brother James Mancini, step- sisters Cheryl Allen and Gloria Corrigan. He was a much-loved uncle ("Guncle") to nephews Christopher Hilson and Liam Hilson, Mark and David Blessington, and Matthew Mancini, and niece Meaghan Hilson. Michael loved life, and lived it well. A celebration of life gathering will be held at Anna O'Brien's on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Donations may be made in Michael's name to Therapeutic Horsemanship Hawaii (tthwaimanalo.org).
