Pediatric Dentist of Kailua was born on September 5, 1940, in Waialua, O'ahu. He graduated from Hawaiian Mission Academy in 1959 and attended Walla Walla College (University) in Washington. In 1967 he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Loma Linda University in California and received his commission in the U.S. Air Force after graduation. In 1975, Dr. Kim returned to Hawai'i and opened his pediatric dental practice in Kailua. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Audrey; son David (Deann); daughters Julie and Maile (Bren Chun); 2 grandsons; brothers Paul (Ann), Arthur, and Andrew; sisters Rhoda Lau and Kathy. A celebration of his life will be held on May 21, 2017, at the Honolulu Japanese SDA Church.
