Passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 surrounded by family. She was born October 3, 1950 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Beverly Kroll and the late Raymond Kroll. In 1972 she moved to Hawaii and lived on the islands of Oahu and Maui. In Hawaii, she raised three children Jesse Brandl, Greg and Adrienne Gaines while working as a registered nurse. She led an active life as an athlete, participating in several marathons and swimming daily, a traveler, and was heavily involved in her church community. In 2005, she was diagnosed with an advanced stage of terminal lung cancer but recovered and became a hospice nurse with St. Francis Hospice until her retirement in 2016. She is preceded in death by her brother, Tommy Kroll, father Raymond Kroll and son, Gregory Gaines. A memorial service will be held for her at Kaimuki Christian Church on Saturday, June 24th at 3pm.
