81, passed away on May 17, 2017. Betty was born in Hawaii on June 21, 1935 to Clarence E. Galton, Sr. and Flora Auga Paris. Her siblings Ernest (Beatrice) Galton, Gertrude (Harry) Fong, and Clarence Jr (June) had previously passed. The family expanded when Flora married George Bush Paris with eight more siblings: George (Violet) Paris, Eugene (Cheryl) Paris, Peter (Charlotte) Paris, Ben (Kalei) Paris, Cynthia (Rodney) Gomes-Sakata, Melvin (Henrietta) Paris, Yolanda (Gene) Sugimoto and hanai Paul Matsuda & Roddy (Son) Imada. Needless to say Betty leaves many nieces and nephews that she cared deeply for. Betty married Manuel Gouveia Sylva Jr. and had six of her own children: Alton (Patricia) Sylva, Altonette (Sanford) Obra, Attlee (Gurtrenda) Sylva, Arnette (Nathan) Subeldia, Avery (Sara) Sylva, and Attleenette (Michael) Martinez. She had (11) grandchildren and (9) great grandchildren. Funeral Services: Wednesday, June 14th at Mililani Mortuary, Makai Chapel. Visitation: 5:30 p.m. Services: 6:30 p.m. Burial: 10:00 a.m. on June 15th at at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
