JUDY SAKUDA
JUDY SAKUDALorraine Judy Sakuda (née Leung), 77, of Honolulu, Hawaii, passed away on May 23, 2017, after a short illness. Originally from Chinatown, New York, Judy arrived in the islands after marrying Paul Sakuda in 1964. She was passionate about travel, cinema and animals. Judy loved great food and was known for her Portuguese Bean Soup and Bread Pudding. An avid tennis and golf player, she coordinated the Princess B Tennis Tournaments for many years. More recently, she channeled her competitive spirit into weekly poker and mahjong games. Judy is survived by her children, Cindy, Michael (Christine), and Shari (Edward) Fong, and grandchildren, Olivia, Noah, Mie, and Ethan. She joins her husband, Paul, and adored rotty-golden retriever, Sophi, in heaven. A gathering in her honor will be held at Waialae Country Club on Friday, June 16, 2017, at 2pm. Aloha attire, no flowers please.
