Mrs. Rebecca Setsuko Yamashita Berry, 88, Honolulu, Oahu, died May 20, 2017 at the Hilo Medical Center. She was born in Hilo, Hawaii on October 16, 1928. She was a retired administrative secretary for former U.S. District Judge, Samuel P. King. She is survived by: 5 Daughters: Debra (Charles-Deceased) Fitzgerald of Waipahu, Oahu, Audrey (Tom) Rine of Minnesota, Donna Yamashita-Berry of Minnesota, Cathy Berry of Mountain View, Hawaii, Lorna Hodges of Montana; Son: David Berry of Punaluu, Oahu; 3 Brothers: Stan (Nan) Yamashita of Aiea, Oahu, Henry (Taeko) Yamashita of Hilo, Hawaii, Richard (Suzanne) Yamashita of Honolulu, Oahu; 2 Sisters: Beatrice (Roy) Sakoda of Cerritos, California, Ellen (Earl) Mabuni of Hilo, Hawaii; 14 grand- children, 18 great-grandchildren. A scattering of her ashes will take place at 12 noon Saturday (June 17, 2017) at the Haleiwa Boat Harbor. A celebration of her life will follow at Alii Beach Park in Haleiwa. Casual attire.
