68, of Meridian, ID, passed away Friday, June 9, 2017 at his home. Ron was born on September 13, 1948 in Honolulu, HI to Ronald L. Burnes, Sr., and Leatrice Mary Medeiros. He lived in Hawaii until he was 5 years old. His family later moved to Missouri, California, and Nevada. He then found his happy place in Idaho. He worked for 40 years for Sears as a service technician. While at Sears, he received numerous awards and recognitions. He was very gifted in repairing anything. Ron was passionate about fishing, radio control cars and had a love for cooking. He was also an assistant Boy Scout Leader and was enjoyed servicing in his church. Ron is survived by former wife and close friend, Sandi Burnes; children: Taunya (Joe) Fontana, Erica (Frank) Lujano, Kevin Burnes, Jason Burnes, Samantha (Mike) Anderson and 7 grand- children. He is also survived by his siblings: Desmond Miller, Charles Ray Miller, Vincent Miller, Susan Kell Marvin, Gina Stone and numerous cousins and extended family many of whom are still on the islands and enjoying their rich Hawaiian heritage. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Joseph Miller. A viewing will be held on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM with a service following at 3:00 PM at Calvary Chapel Meridian, 1550 S.
