Faith Mililani Wai, age 63, passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 11, 2017 at her Kaimuki home operated by The Arc in Hawaii. She was born on September 10, 1953 to Lambert and Cecilia (Sammie) Wai. Her life and presence inspired the start of many community residential and day services for people with developmental disabilities. Faith is survived by her father, Lambert; her sister, Francine; and numerous cousins. Services will be held on Thursday, July 13 at 5:00 p.m. at Diamond Head Memorial Chapel. Visitation at 4:00 p.m. Mahalo to The Arc in Hawaii, Straub Hospital, and St. Francis Hospice for her excellent care. Gifts in her honor may be made to The Arc in Hawaii.
