December 12, 1933 May 26, 2017 Founder of "Surfer Magazine", film maker, artist, husband and father. John died at his Maui home surrounded by four of his girls on May 26, in the house he built and loved on his favorite surf spot. He is survived by his wife Louise; daughters, Jenna and Anna and his five granddaughters, Alize, Luna, Kea, Aleia and Zoe. The Honolulu Museum of Art will honor John by screening his last film "Pacific Vibrations" at the Doris Duke Theater on Thursday the 13th of July. ~ He left a fabulous legacy for us all to remember him by. He will be greatly missed ~
