95, of Kaneohe, Hawaii, peacefully passed away at home before the sun rose on June 13, 2017. She was born in Honolulu, October 17, 1921 to Ahee Quan Yit Chun(decd.) and Rose Lim Sum Chang(decd.). Rose attended Sacred Hearts Academy and graduated from McKinley High School and Honolulu Business School. Rose joined fellow Hawaiians during the reconstruction of Guam after WWII, residing on Guam for 35 years before returning to Hawaii. Her many gifts include: raising fresh farm eggs; breeding AKA Doberman Pincers; businesswoman; fine jewelry connoisseur; excellent cook; singing and dancing hula; devoted wife; and affectionate, loving mother of eight children - seventeen grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren. Her life-long perspective was to learn something new each day. Rose was predeceased by her children; Haulani, Morton, Marshall, Morris Leal, Mark Swegler and Jon Chun. She is survived by her daughters; Delle "Dee" Swegler (Mark) Nadler, Moana Swegler (Alvin); and her brother Rev. Canon Franklin S.H. Chun (Norma).
