85, of Honolulu, an Air Force veteran and retired air traffic controller for the Honolulu International Airport, passed away on August 2, 2017. He was born in Puunene, Maui. He is survived by his wife, Irene; sons, Daniel (Iris) and Blaine; sisters, Shirley Wasano and Janet (Harold) Matsumoto; and grandson, Micah. Visitation is at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at Hosoi Garden Mortuary. The service is at 10:00 a.m. Interment follows at 1:00 p.m. at Nuuanu Memorial Park. Casual attire. No flowers.
