Richard Carlton Jackson
86, of Aiea, peacefully passed away after struggling with cancer and Alzheimer's disease on Thursday, August 31, 2017 while under the most compassionate care of the VA hospice staff. He was born in Kekaha, Kauai Hi to Issac and Rose Nahale'a Jackson. He graduated from the Kamehameha Schools, class of 1949, served in the U.S. Army and retired as a land surveyor in the Engineering Dept of HECO after serving over 40 years. He was active in the company's choral glee club and also served as President for a few terms with the Prince Kuhio Hawaiian Civic club and participated with the annual Kamehameha Day float decoration. Survived by wife Marian (Mae), twin sons Newman (Jisu) and Neal of Nevada, step-son Charles Padua (Audrey) of Nevada, grandchildren Kiley, Rhyan, Blake and Nakoa, step- grandchild, Anela Padua of New Jersey, step-great-grandchildren Tyzae and Kailea, sister Audrey Helenihi of California and many nieces and nephews. Celebration of life Monday, September 18, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Aiea. Visitation 9:30 am, Mass at 11:00 am.
