BRENDA JEAN MOSCOVE
The family of Brenda (retired CSUB Professor of Marketing, Emeritus at Cal State Bakersfield) announces that a memorial brick has been placed in the patio behind the Hoffmann Hospice Home (4401 Buena Vista Rd) to honor her passing away in January (1940-2017). Before coming to Bakersfield in 1981, Brenda had 11 years of faculty and administrative experience at Chaminade University in Hawaii. She was Chair of the university's business administration division and MBA programs. While in Hawaii she also served as a consultant for financial, health-care, food/beverage, and hotel and governmental organizations. While at CSUB, Brenda served in numerous roles, including Chair of the Marketing Department, MBA coordinator, and member on many school and university committees. Additionally, she authored and co-authored articles presented and/or published in regional, national and international programs and publications. For example, Brenda was one of the keynote speakers for the fifth World Congress of the Regional Science Association in Tokyo, Japan, where she had the opportunity to meet with the Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko. Brenda also was a partner in FMCI (a marketing research and executive seminar firm) serving local and international businesses and governmental entities. For example, Brenda conducted executive marketing seminars in Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand, Canada, and Hong Kong. Brenda leaves her loving husband, Robert Fletcher, her daughter Sue (Huver) Neilson, husband Danny and grandson Nicholas; also her step-daughter Melissa "Melle" Richardson, and grandsons Hunter, Dane and Gavin; and step-daughter Lisa Mullins, husband James, granddaughter Jessica Noel, and grandson "Mac". Everyone will miss fishing and camping with her. The family requests that any donations be made to Hoffmann Hospices, 8501 Brimhall Road Building 100, Bakersfield CA 93312 in Brenda's name.
