Christine Leilani Wilcox
Christine Leilani Wilcox passed away August 17, 2017 after a brave fight with cancer; her husband, Ricky Wilcox, of twenty-six years was right by her side. She was born on September 9, 1965 in Honolulu, Hawaii to Henry L. and Esther E. Williams and spent most of her childhood in Ewa Beach. She graduated from James Campbell High School in 1983. Prior to pursuing higher education, she worked at The Old Spaghetti Factory, Hilton Hawaiian Village, The Black Orchid, and World Caf. She received her Bachelor of Education from UH Manoa in 2003 and began teaching English at Nanakuli High School later that year. She earned her Master of Arts in Education in 2008. Christine enjoyed participating in Yoga and Zumba at Impact Fitness Ohana and has a special love for her sisters there. She radiated physical beauty! The people in her life were touched by her kindness, warmth, big heart, and loving spirit. Her family is everything to her. She is survived by husband Ricky K. Wilcox; daughter Lena Ann Sullivan; son Kanealii (Tayzha) Wilcox; daughter Vraunwyn (Brian) Denny; son Sorin Wilcox; mother Esther Fernandes; brothers Henry (Stephanie) Williams, Dennis (Kimi) Maele, Clifford (Tricia) Williams, Koa (Laurie) Maele, Duke Maele and Bronson (Laverne) Maele; sisters Dorothea (Robert) Kaapana, Phoebe (Clifton) Sato, Tabitha (Kyle) Mizuno; grandchildren Loralei and Logan, and fur-baby, Ziggy. Services will be held on Sunday, October 15th at Mililani Mortuary, Mauka Chapel, Visitation: 5:30 p.m.; Services: 6:30 p.m. ~ May we experience glimpses of you in every Sunrise and Sunset.
