84, of Kaneohe passed away peacefully at home on September 18, 2017. She was born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. She graduated with her teaching degree from Oshkosh University where she met her husband. She was a long-time church member of Bayview Chapel Assembly of God in Kaneohe. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert "Bob" Hideo Sumida and grand- son Joshua Pishcura. She is survived by sons Daniel and David (Donna); daughters Dawn (Harry) Pishcura, Darlyne (Richard) Cummings; sister Bev Walter of Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation: 9:30 AM; Services: 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Borthwick Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Burial: 1 PM at Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.
