VIOLET “SUNDAY” MAE KUUIPO GRACE PARIS
VIOLET Violet "Sunday" Mae Kuuipo Grace Paris 72, of Nanakuli, died in Nanakuli on September 20, 2017. She was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on December 30, 1944. Preceded in death by her parents Samuel "Tete'o" Grace and Violeta Hainakolo Kamakau Gaspar-Grace, Step Mother Edna Grace and her sons George "Joe Boy" and Thomas Shane Paris. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, T. George Paris, sons Shon Paris-Moea'i, Roman Paris and Bronson Paris, daughter Keren Siket, hanai children Shaelyn Paris, Kylin Paris, Clu-Shane Paris, Gloria Santiago of Hilo, HI, Lando Maynes, Fa'atalelei Auelua and Robertha Tautua, brother Michael Grace of Anahola Kauai and sister Barbara (Kuchi) Jackson of California, 38 grandchildren and 47 great-grandchildren. Known by most as "Aunty Sunday", she spent her life serving the Waianae community, fostering children and lending her time to many charitable causes including the Paris Family Thanksgiving Outreach and serving as Chairwoman of the Father Damien and Sister Marianne Cope Benefit Galas for the Catholic Diocese of Hawaii. Sunday was also a life long member of St. Ritas Catholic Church in Nanakuli, where she served in many capacities. An adoring wife, mother, grandmother, tutu, sister and friend she was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all. A celebration of life will be held on Friday October 20th, 2017 at Mililani Mortuary Mauka Chapel. Visitation begins at 4:00 p.m., services will begin at 6:30 p.m.
