Dean Barker Foster was born in British Columbia on November 13 1936. Dean spent his early years in Vancouver, Canada, although he later became an American Citizen. He was a successful business man who traveled across the United States starting in the 1970s for his firm Black Forest Imports. He lived then in Hollywood, and later was, for a time, the Mayor of Running Springs, California. He retired in 2006. He loved Hawaii, having moved here in 1985, and made Honolulu his lasting home. Although he had traveled the world, he often said "Hawaii is where my heart is." In recent years, he had been a member of Sukyo Mahikari, the Spiritual Practice of the Art of True Light. He passed away at home in Kalihi on the morning of September 13, 2017. We love and miss you Dean!
Our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the deceased
