NATSUKO “NANCY” SHINNO
NATSUKO Nancy, 85 of Honolulu, passed away on Oct. 4, 2017 at Manoa Cottage Kaimuki. She was born in Los Angeles, CA on May 11, 1932. After graduating from McKinley High School, she became a housewife, worked as a seamstress for Playco Hawaii, managed family rental properties and was a loving mother to four daughters. In her spare time she enjoyed watching game shows, making Miyuki flowers and Faberge eggs. Her favorite foods were sweets, especially dream cake, cookies and hot fudge sundaes. She was a devoted wife, Mother and Grandmother who filled our lives with love and words of wisdom. She was sharp as a tack, caring and frank all at once. She is survived by her husband Shigeru, brother Kazu Okamura, daughters Karen (Gary) Fortney, Shirley (Guy) Hirata, Diane (Burt) Suenishi, granddaughter Joni (Adam Cohen) Sasaki, grandson Ryan Sasaki, and great granddaughter Ella Sasaki Cohen. She will forever live on in our hearts with precious memories. Private services will be held. The family requests, please no flowers or monetary gifts.
