Eleanor Mahoney Lyden, died Friday October 27, 2017 at her home in Honolulu, Hawaii surrounded by her loving family. Eleanor was born on February 8, 1920 in East Orange, New Jersey and lived many years in Salem, Connecticut before moving to Hawaii. She was blessed to have lived 97 years filled with love and achievement, dedicated first and always to her family. She was matriarch to a large Irish family of 10 children, 19 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews who loved her deeply. She was also one of the original founders of the Makakilo Senior Citizens Club. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 20th at St. Jude Catholic Church in Makakilo, Hawaii.
