On November 29, 2017, rains fell gently when Renee Sambueno passed away at the age of 61. Born on December 23, 2017 in Honolulu to Margaret and Pedro Sambueno. Her long and courageous battle with kidney disease did not prevent her from living a full, exciting, artistic, happy, and successful life. She worked over 30 years for public, private, non profit sectors, and was well known in the community for her sharp wit, generosity, knowledge, experience and networking skills. She is survived by brothers, Patrick (Barbara) and Dennis (Patricia); sister, Francine (Robert Zamarron); nephews, niece, grand nephews, grand niece, relatives locally and abroad. Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, December 12th at Borthwick Mortuary Maunakea Chapel. Visitation: 10:30 am. Service: 11:30 am. Refreshments to follow. Burial: 3:00 at Hawaiian Memorial Park.
