Albert Masaji “Masa” Yamane
69, of Honolulu, passed away on November 11, 2017, surrounded by family. He was born on August 15, 1948 in Honolulu to Tadayoshi and Teiko Yamane, the second of three children. Albert graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa with a BBA degree in Accounting. He retired in 2014 from the State of Hawaii, Insurance Division, as an Insurance Examiner with over 40 years of service. Masa, as he was affectionately called by his family, was an active and long-time season ticket holder and follower of the UH Rainbow/Warrior Football team since 1974. Among his pastimes were taking leisurely walks around Honolulu, doing Sudoku puzzles, and travelling with family. He will always be remembered for his honesty, helpfulness, and genuine care for others. He is survived by his brothers, Richard (Joanne) and Raymond, and nephews, Scott and Grant.
