Dr. Howard L. Gillary passed away peacefully at home on December 12, 2017, at the age of 77. A loving family member, scientist, professor, one-time surfer and dance aficionado, he will be missed and remembered for his intelligence, kindness, wisdom, irreverent humor, love of learning and teaching, and, above all, integrity. He is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer and Carin (Andrew); three grand- children, Ezra, Nathan and Eli; siblings Robert (Anita) and Alice; and niece, Amanda. Howard's life will be celebrated by family and friends at a private event.
