92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Castle Medical Center surrounded by her family. She was born in Pahala, Hawaii and was the eldest of four children to the late Satoshi and Masuyo Touchi. Elaine was employed by the Federal Aviation Administration as a Personnel Officer in Honolulu and Tokyo, Japan. After retiring from the FAA, she worked as the Office Manager for former State Representative Terrance W. H. Tom at the Hawaii State Legislature. She was active at the Kaneohe Senior Center for many years. Elaine loved bon dance, singing, playing the piano and going to Las Vegas. She was known for her vivaciousness, generosity and love of life and people. She is survived by her five children, Penelope (Terrance) Tom, Jonathan (Cora) Cho, Alexander (Claire) Cho, Michael (Carol Ann) Cho and Johnna (Wonkoo Chang) Cho, and sister Evelyn Ogata. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Calvary Episcopal Church in Kaneohe. Visitation at 9:00am, Service at 10:00am. Casual/aloha attire. No flowers. Private burial at O'ahu Cemetery.
